Most people said that failing eyesight is the result of eyestrain or aging. But, our lifestyle and diet have an impact on eyesight. Maintaining a healthy diet is important to keep your eyes healthy. If you include certain vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in your diet, then it may help to reduce the risk of serious eye problems. Your eyes require many types of anti-oxidants to stay healthy. Eye conditions may be able to protect with a healthy diet that includes zinc, lutein, vitamin A, C & E, and omega 3 fatty acids.

A balanced and healthy diet is made with dairy, fruits, vegetables, and proteins. Try to eat many types of food in different colors. You must reduce the consumption of unhealthy foods which are high in sugar and processed food.

  • Eggs: Eggs are the best to improve eyesight. The yolk (yellow part of the egg) has vitamin A, Lutein, and zinc which are very important for the eyes. To protect the cornea (surface of the eye), vitamin A is the best food to eat. Lutein and zinc reduce the chance of getting serious eye conditions. Eggs are versatile, which you can take in breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can take a hardboiled egg as a snack or salad.
  • Almonds: Almonds and nuts are very good for overall health. Vitamin E is present in almonds that help to prevent from unstable molecules which target health issue. If you consume vitamin E regularly then it will protect from age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. You can take almonds whenever you want. Almonds are also high in calories so eat one or two time in a day.
  • Carrots: Carrots are very good for the health of the eye. They have vitamin A and beta carotene, which can help to prevent eye infection and other serious eye conditions. You can take carrots for afternoon or evening snacks. You can also add them in salads or soups. You can add them in muffins or pancakes.
  • Oranges: Oranges have vitamin C, which is essential for the health of the eye. The vitamin, which is mainly found in fruits, helps to healthy blood vessels in your eyes. It can action the development of cataracts
