CTM is an important part of a daily skincare routine. Clean your face with water or gel-based face wash every morning and before going to bed. The cleanser helps to remove excess oil from your face. Choose your cleanser gently, which is non-comedogenic and mild for oily skin. After cleansing, pat down with a towel. Never rub your face with a towel as it leads to excess oil secretion. Don’t forget to use a toner after cleansing. As pores get open while cleansing, so toner helps to close pores.

Moisturize your face

In winters, you need to moisturize your face with an oil-free and light moisturizer. There are many moisturizers available in the market, from gel to water-based. A moisturizer with Vitamin E is a good option for oily skin. It enhances water content in your skin and protects further moisture loss when infused with natural humectants. Always moisturize your face after every wash.

Use lukewarm water for the bath

Hot shower dries your skin too much and leaving it dull. Always use lukewarm or cold water to wash your face. Lukewarm water helps wash off the grime without leaving your skin dull and stretched. It maintains the PH balance on the skin.

Stay hydrated

For healthy and glowing skin, you need to stay hydrated. In winter, you don’t feel thirsty, which leads to consume less water. Your body needs at least 2 litres of water to function properly. So, keep yourself hydrated with coconut water, green tea, and warm water. Alternatively, you can set alerts in your phone for drinking water so that you keep yourself hydrated.

Stick to your products

Some people change their skincare products as the season changes. It might be proved wrong for your face. So, if your face wash and moisturizer work well on your face, then don’t change it. Use products as long as your skin suits them. After 1 or 2 years, you can change your skincare routine products according to your skin type.

Take a healthy diet

In winter, we have cravings for fried foods and fast food. Occasionally, it is okay, but ensure that you should add more fruits or salads to your diet. Your diet has an important role in the health of the skin. You can add vitamin-rich food to your diet as it helps to glow your face. Avoid oily food as it has an adverse effect on your skin. Drink green tea or herbal tea twice a day as they help to remove toxins from the body.

Oil-free makeup products

Ensure that you buy oil-free and water-based foundation or BB cream. After foundation, you should use compact rather than loose powder. If you do makeup regularly, it is not good for your skin because it contains natural oil. So, use powder-based makeup product which has matte effects.

Change linen

Don’t forget to change your linen or towel once a week. Bed-sheets, towels, and pillow covers collect bacteria and dust, which absorb in your skin while sleeping. It can lead to acne breakouts on your face. So, keep your bedsheets, pillow cover, and face towel clean to avoid any type of skin problem.

In winter, oily skin needs more care; otherwise, it leads to acne and pimples and makes your skin dull. You can keep your skin healthy and glowing by daily skincare routine. A healthy and balanced diet is very important for the health of the skin, so eat healthy and drink lots of water. Follow these skincare routines to get glowing and smooth skin.
